Christopher Townson retrial on voyeurism charge

A man accused of videoing a 15-year-old schoolgirl as she changed at a swimming pool is to face a retrial.

Christopher Townson has denied using his phone to film the girl at the Holgate caravan park in Silverdale, near Carnforth, in June last year.

The 25-year-old of Kendal denied a charge of voyeurism and a jury was unable to reach a verdict last week.

Mr Townson told the hearing he did not have a phone with him and was looking for his daughter's hair clips.

The retrial begins at Carlisle Crown Court on 10 December.

The previous hearing heard the girl told police that she was in the changing cubicle when a phone was held underneath the divider.
