Pair sought over man's stab death in Carlisle

Officers carried out a detailed search of the area around the house

A man has died after being found with stab wounds at a house in Carlisle.

Police and ambulance crews were called to an address in Arnside Road at about 06:00 BST on Sunday and found a man in his 30s with stab wounds.

Cumbria Police said despite efforts to revive the man, who has not been named, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokeswoman said two men who were seen in the street at the time were being sought. An area around the property was cordoned off.
