Silverdale voyeurism jury fails to reach verdict

Jurors in the trial of a man accused of filming a schoolgirl as she changed after swimming at a Cumbrian leisure centre have failed to reach a verdict.

Christopher Townson, 25, from Jenkin Rise, Kendal, pleaded not guilty to voyeurism at Carlisle Crown Court.

The incident is alleged to have taken place at Holgate Caravan Park at Silverdale in June 2011.

The girl, who was 15 at the time, said she was in a changing cubicle when a phone was held underneath the divider.
