Voyeurism accused 'did not have camera phone with him'

A man accused of filming a schoolgirl in a swimming pool changing room has said he did not even have his camera phone with him at the time.

Christopher Townson, 25, from Jenkin Rise, Kendal, pleaded not guilty to voyeurism at Carlisle Crown Court.

A 15-year-old claimed she was filmed on an iPhone at the Holgate caravan park in Silverdale, near Carnforth, in June.

Mr Townson said he only went into the cubicle to retrieve his five-year-old daughter's hair clips.

He told the jury he was in the cubicle for less than 10 seconds before finding the clips on the floor under the seat and had left his iPhone in his car.

The trial continues.
