Elderly Kendal couple tied up and robbed

Four men tied up and robbed an elderly couple stealing cash and items worth thousands of pounds from their Cumbria home.

The men, all were wearing masks, broke into the property in Castle Oval, Kendal, on Tuesday evening.

They searched the house before making off with money and other items.

Police said the couple had suffered a "frightful ordeal" but were being "incredibly brave", and urged anyone with information to get in touch.
