Man, 85, dies after car crashes into house in St Bees

An elderly man has died four days after the car he was driving crashed into a house in Cumbria.

Robert Pearson, of Main Street, St Bees, suffered serious injuries when his Ford Focus crashed into the side of the house at the junction of Outrigg Road and Main Street, on 5 September.

Cumbria Police said the 85-year-old man was taken to hospital, but died late on Sunday.

No-one else was hurt in the crash and the property was not seriously damaged.
