Peter Jackson jailed for punch attack on Michael Dixon

An attacker in Cumbria who punched a man who had lent him money, leaving him unconscious, has been jailed.

Victim Michael Dixon had asked Peter Jackson for his cash back when he was hit and fell, fracturing his skull.

Carlisle Crown Court heard that Jackson then cheered and did "high fives" with his friends after the attack near Burneside Cricket Club in Kendal.

The 27-year-old of College Road, Windermere, admitted unlawful wounding and was jailed for 15 months.

The court heard that Jackson was drunk and clearly "pleased and triumphant" about what he had done.
