Geoffrey Davis cycle death: driver pleads guilty

A driver from Lancashire has admitted causing the death of a cyclist on a dual carriageway in Cumbria.

Geoffrey Davis, 52, of Windermere Road in Kendal, was killed in a collision on the A590 at Leven, near Kendal on 29 November.

Appearing at Carlisle Crown Court, David Dixon pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving.

The 56-year-old of Longlands Lane, Heysham, was bailed and will be sentenced on 13 September.
