Woman charged over Workington house fire

A woman has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life following a fire at a house in Cumbria.

Emergency crews were called to the semi-detached property in Wastwater Avenue, Workington, early on Tuesday. No-one was seriously hurt.

Deborah Ann Donald is also charged with perverting the course of justice.

The 34-year-old, of Wastwater Avenue, Workington, appeared before magistrates in the town and was remanded pending a Crown Court hearing.

Two women, 26 and 35, who were arrested in connection with the incident, have been released without charge.
