Two held in Wetheral knife-point post office raid probe

Two men have been arrested after a knife-point robbery at a post office in Cumbria.

Police were called to the branch in the village of Wetheral near Carlisle on Friday where they found a woman member of staff shocked but unhurt.

During the raid cash was stolen. Officers later arrested two men, aged 20 and 24, who are in custody.

Police believe the robbers travelled in a Vauxhall Corsa and are appealing for witnesses.
