Man steals £6,500 of foreign currency in Cockermouth
A man used fake identification to steal more than £6,000 of foreign currency from a sorting office in Cumbria.
The theft happened between 08:00 and 08:30 BST on Wednesday, at the Royal Mail office in South Street, Cockermouth.
The man produced the identification and took the mail containing about £6,500 of United Arab Emirates dirham.
He was described as about 6"1' and in his 50s, with grey hair and wearing business dress.
