Six bailed after Carlisle's Concrete manager injured in attack

Five men and a woman arrested after a Carlisle nightclub manager suffered head injuries have been bailed.

Tim Ip was attacked by a group at the Lowther Arcade early on Thursday.

The 26-year-old manager of Concrete is being treated at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary, where his condition is described as serious but stable.

Officers had been questioning the three men from Carlisle and two men and a woman from Southampton on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

Cumbria Police said they had been bailed pending further inquiries.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the attack, which happened at about 02:00 BST on Thursday.
