Titanic victims remembered in Maryport

Help

Cumbrian families of people who were on the Titanic have talked to the BBC.

Relatives of Joseph Bruce Ismay, the son of the founder of White Star Line, the company that made RMS Titanic, remember the story of how he survived the tragedy.

Joseph Bell, Titanic's chief engineer, lived near Brampton in north Cumbria. The current residents of the house said they were proud of the heroism he showed by refusing to leave his post.
