West Cumbria heroin dealer Gilmour jailed for six years

A drug dealer from west Cumbria who hid drugs worth £25,000 in a cornflakes packet has been jailed for six years.

Simon Gilmour was caught with the haul when police stopped and searched a car he was a passenger in on the A595 at Holmrook in November.

The 35-year-old of Moorclose, Workington, admitted possessing a class A drug with intent to supply, when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court.

The hearing heard that Gilmour has two previous drug offence convictions.
