Motorists face disruption as part of the A5 through Warwickshire is to close for five months.

From Sunday evening, drivers will not be able to turn right at the A5 - A444 Redgate junction in Nuneaton from both the A5 and the A444 Weddington Road.

The work is part of a £17.5m project to improve traffic flow as the development of the MIRA Technology Park in nearby Hinckley continues.

Diversions are in place, Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council said.

"Whilst some delays will be inevitable, we aim to keep disruption to a minimum," it added.

Nuneaton-based MIRA announced plans to develop areas of its 750-acre engineering, research and testing facility in 2010.

It was awarded £7m of government money to improve roads and access in May.
