Flooding blocked a road in Warwick as the Met Office warned of further showers across Warwickshire.

The A429, which has since reopened, was closed on Saturday afternoon in the St John's area, at the junction with the A445 Coten End Road.

The Environment Agency issued flood alerts following heavy storms.

They included areas around the River Cole in Coleshill, the River Stour in South Warwickshire, the River Arrow around Studley and the River Alne.

More than 15mm of rain fell in some parts of the county in just 12 hours.

The Environment Agency said it was closely monitoring river levels in Warwickshire.
