Lorry fire causes M6 southbound closure

Lorry crash on M6 The ambulance service said the driver of the lorry suffered minor injuries

The M6 southbound in Warwickshire will be closed until 18:00 BST after a lorry overturned and caught fire, the Highways Agency has said.

The truck crashed on to its side and landed on the hard shoulder between junction 4A (for the M42) and 4 (for Coleshill) at about 09:40.

The driver suffered minor injuries, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

There are extensive queues and motorists are advised to check with the Highways Agency for latest updates.
