Up to 2,000 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £1.2m have been found at an industrial unit in Coventry.

A police helicopter detected a "substantial heat source" while flying above Stoke Row Industrial Estate, Stoke, on Tuesday morning.

Officers raided the premises following a tip-off about the plants.

Two men, aged 40 and 49, have been charged with cannabis production and are due before magistrates later.
