About 100 Coventry homes lose power due to 'cable fault'

Mary Slessor Street Homes in Robin Hood Road, Euston Crescent and Mary Slessor Street were affected

About 100 homes in Coventry were left without power due to a "cable fault".

Western Power Distribution said it was first alerted to the problem - which affected Robin Hood Road, Euston Crescent and Mary Slessor Street in the Willenhall area - at about 05:00 BST.

It said power at all the properties had been restored by 11:35 BST by re-routing it from another source.

The company said the cable fault that caused the problem had been isolated and would be repaired at a later date.
