M40 death crash in Warwickshire: Lorry driver arrested

A lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a fatal crash on the M40 in Warwickshire.

The accident happened between junctions 11 and 12, just before 05:00 GMT on Sunday, when the lorry collided with a white VW Polo.

Warwickshire Police said the Polo driver got out of the car but died when it was then hit by a blue BMW.

The lorry driver, 62, from Lincolnshire, was released on bail.

The driver of the BMW was uninjured.
