Man shot in attack in Keresley End, near Coventry

A man is thought to have been shot in the face in an attack in a Warwickshire village.

The 32-year-old, thought to have been in a car, is being treated in hospital following the shooting at Keresley End, near Coventry.

Warwickshire Police said the shooting happened at the junction of Somers Road and Rathbone Close at 09:15 GMT.

They added they had sealed off part of the village to allow them to carry out investigations.

It is thought the victim sustained facial injuries in the attack.

Ch Insp Ian Whiting said officers were keen to trace a black Peugeot estate car and a man in his 20s who was seen running from Rathbone Close along Somers Road.
