Daniel Pelka council: UK child protection 'in crisis'

The leader of Coventry City Council has called for a national discussion on the future of child protection services.

Ann Lucas made her comments during a debate on how services in the city need to improve following the murder of four-year-old Daniel Pelka.

She claimed child protection teams across the UK are at "crisis point".

Kevin Reide spoke to Ms Lucas and Asst Chief Con Andy Nicholson, from West Midlands Police.
