Walsgrave on Sowe car crash kills teenage girl

A teenage girl has died and three other people have been injured in a crash involving two cars.

The collision happened in Ansty Road, Walsgrave on Sowe, near Coventry, at about 23:00 GMT on Saturday.

Paramedics said it was clear at the scene of the crash "nothing could be done to save" the girl.

The driver of that car, a man in his 30s, and another teenage girl were seriously injured.

The driver of the second car, another man in his 30s, suffered multiple minor injuries.

All three injured people were taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for treatment.

The injured girl is being treated for serious leg injuries while the driver of her car suffered severe pelvic and hip injuries.
