Man charged with rape and robbery of woman in Coventry

A man has been charged with raping and robbing a 21-year-old woman in the Hillfields area of Coventry.

The victim was attacked took place in Berry Street shortly before 04:30 GMT on 15 February.

Warehouseman Linton Long, from the Hillfields area, was arrested on Wednesday.

West Midlands Police said the 40-year-old appeared before magistrates earlier and was remanded in custody. He will appear in court again on 30 May.
