Families have spent another night at a community hall in Warwickshire after their homes and others across the West Midlands were damaged in storms.
House and garage roofs were damaged and car windows smashed during strong winds in Galley Common, near Nuneaton, at about 15:00 GMT on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a woman was treated for smoke inhalation after lightning set fire to houses in Stourbridge.
A bolt also caused a blaze at a house in Stirchley, Birmingham, and struck a plane on the runaway at Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport.
