Flood warnings are in place on several rivers in Warwickshire as the Met Office warns of further heavy rain and strong winds.

Warnings remain in place on the Leam at Eathorpe, Hunningham and Offchurch.

New warnings have been issued for Mitford Bridge, Shipston-on-Stour and Tredington, as well as the River Dene at Walton and Wellesbourne.

The Environment Agency said some areas had seen more than 18mm of rain the last 24 hours.

Elsewhere, alerts are in place for low-lying areas between Grandborough and Leamington.

The Met Office said more gusty wind and heavy rain was expected to hit the county on Sunday, with unsettled weather due to last into next week.

The Environment Agency said prolonged bad weather meant the ground was already heavily water-logged and warned river levels could rise quickly.
