Teenager arrested over Coventry nightclub stabbing

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a man at a Coventry nightclub.

A man, 25, from the Ball Green area, suffered stomach wounds after being stabbed at Club M in Hertford Place at 02:50 on New Year's Day, police said.

He was taken to hospital where his condition was described as "serious".

Detectives are questioning a 17-year-old from the Radford area who was arrested behind a takeaway in Silver Street at about 04:00 GMT.

West Midlands Police are appealing for witnesses to the stabbing to contact them.
