A 22-year-old man has been jailed for failing to report a fatal collision on the A444 in Warwickshire.

The body of Sean Morley, 20, of Bedworth, was found near Sutherland Road in the town on 2 September 2012.

Mandeep Singh Gill, of Dorothy Powell Way, Walsgrave-on-Sowe, pleaded guilty at Leamington Magistrates' Court. He was sentenced to 16 weeks in jail and given a 12-month driving ban.

Gill is currently in prison for supplying class A drugs.

He is serving a three-and-a-half year sentence and the judge said he would serve the additional sentence concurrently.

After his death Mr Morley's family said losing the final year Aberystwyth University student would "leave a huge hole" in their lives.
