Bulkington railway bridge closed for after being repeatedly hit

Repair work has started on a railway bridge carrying a main line in Warwickshire which has been repeatedly hit by oversize vehicles.

The bridge over Coventry Road, Bulkington will also have a collision protection beam fitted.

Nichola Smith, from Network Rail, said: "The work at Coventry Road is essential to reduce delays along the West Coast Main Line."

The road under the bridge will be closed until Monday 9 December.
