Fourth man held after man hit by car in Rugby

A fourth man has been arrested after a pedestrian was hit by a car, leaving him with serious leg injuries.

It followed a confrontation in Rugby town centre at about 04:30 on Saturday between one group of men in a black Range Rover and another group at a taxi rank, police said.

A 33-year-old man was injured by a car and remains in hospital.

A 24-year-old man arrested in Coventry is in custody and is being questioned by officers.

Three other men, two aged 24 and one aged 22, were also arrested in connection with the incident, but have since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

The Range Rover left the scene after the collision and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
