Three held after man hit by car in Rugby

Three people have been arrested after a man was hit by a car, leaving him with serious leg injuries.

Warwickshire Police said it happened in Rugby town centre at about 04:30 BST on Saturday after an altercation between a group of men in a black Range Rover and another group at a taxi rank.

A 33-year-old man was in collision with a car and was taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition.

Three men, two aged 24 and one aged 22, are being held in police custody.

The Range Rover left the scene after the collision and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
