Two held after men hurt in stabbing in Stechford

Two men have been injured in a stabbing in Birmingham.

Police were called to an address in Swancote Road in the Stechford area shortly after 07:00 BST.

A 30-year-old man sustained stab wounds to his back and another man, aged 20, received a slash wound to his face, the spokesman said.

Both are currently receiving treatment in hospital. A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the incident.

    Immigrants arrested on M6 08:23:

    Three illegal immigrants found walking down the M6 have been arrested.

    Central Motorway Police say they found them northbound near junction 11 (Hilton Services) and are now in custody.

    A further two men were arrested at junction 1 of the M5 near Sandwell "for immigration offences".
