Man held on suspicion of David Ryding murder bailed

A man held on suspicion of the murder of a man who was attacked near a taxi rank has been released on police bail.

David Ryding, 26, from Moreton in Wirral, Merseyside, was attacked near the Clock Tower in Market Place, Rugby, Warwickshire, at 05:00 BST on Sunday.

He died in hospital from head injuries on Monday.

A 21-year-old man, from Rugby, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
