Mobility scooters donated for Warwickshire's country parks

Public donations have provided a new fleet of mobility scooters for country parks in Warwickshire.

Warwickshire County Council appealed for people to donate scooters they no longer needed when their previous fleet came "to the end of the road ".

Councillor Jeff Clarke said: "We had an excellent selection to choose from and finally got three we felt would be long-serving vehicles."

The scooters can be hired by the day or users can pay an annual fee of £20.

The council said the majority of the paths in their parks are surfaced and relatively flat, and the mobility scooters enable families with any mobility issues to still "enjoy quality time out together".
