Man charged over Stratford-upon-Avon coffee house crash

The driver of a car that crashed into a Warwickshire coffee house has been charged with dangerous driving.

Five pedestrians were injured when the car crashed into Costa Coffee at the junction of Bridge Street and Henley Street in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Alan Marks, 64, of Shottery, Stratford upon Avon, has been charged with dangerous driving and is due at Solihull Magistrates' Court on 7 June.

Two air ambulances attended the scene and six people were taken to hospital.
