Alstom recruit skilled staff for power plant contract

An engineering company in Warwickshire is looking to recruit more than 50 new staff after winning a £325m contract.

Alstom, who are based in Rugby, will supply equipment for a new gas-fired power station near Manchester.

It has also been given 12-year service agreement to maintain the equipment as part of the contract.

The company employs 700 people at its Rugby site and is looking to recruit more project managers, engineers, technicians and other support staff.

Managing Director Ian Rutherford said he hoped there would be more jobs created later in the year.
