Pedestrian dies in motorcycle collision in Warwickshire

A pedestrian has died in a collision with a motorcycle on a road in Warwickshire.

West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the A4097 near Kingsbury at around 0:45 BST.

A spokeswoman said "nothing could be done" to save the man, 40, who was confirmed dead at the scene.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, suffered "significant head and facial injuries" and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Warwickshire Police said they believe the silver Honda motorbike overtook a lorry shortly before the collision occurred.

They are appealing for witnesses and want to hear from the driver of a dark-coloured BMW which is thought to have been travelling in the opposite direction to the motorbike.
