Fire leads to discovery of cannabis plants in Coventry

Four men have been arrested after a fire in Coventry led to the discovery of cannabis plants.

Police and the fire service were called to the fire at a flat above a shop in Harnall Lane West, Foleshill on Sunday night.

Officers later found approximately 30 cannabis plants inside.

Two men aged 44, and two others, aged 32 and 39, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis.

They are currently in custody. No-one was injured in the fire.
