Mother Sarah Best gives birth after cancer treatment

Help

A Warwickshire mum has been talking about giving birth to a healthy baby boy just hours after receiving treatment for cancer.

Sarah Best, of Leamington Spa, went into labour on the final day of radiotherapy treatment for a type of mouth cancer.

Ms Best gave birth to Jake in April after a pioneering operation at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) to remove the tumour.

According to the hospital, Jake is thought to be the first baby born in the UK after such treatment.
