Rugby band The 7.20s to support The Moons at Kasbah

The 7.20s

The BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Band of the Month for November are The 7.20s from Rugby.

The current five-piece have been playing together for the past 14 months after performing in other bands.

Earlier this year this year they played the BBC Introducing stage at Wychwood Festival and made a mark in representing music from Warwickshire.

On 18 November, The 7.20s will be supporting The Moons at the Kasbah in Coventry.

The alternative rockers include The Verve, Doves and fellow Rugby band Spiritualized among their influences.

  • Andy Burnham - Guitar
  • Seb Roux - Guitar
  • Eddy Burnham - Bass
  • Steve Kavanagh - Drums

Speaking about their sound, the band said: "Our music is quite varied. I guess we take influences from the Brit-Pop of the '90s, some of the electro influences out the '80s, perhaps some of the American indie bands of the 2000s, like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

"We're getting a lot more bluesy and we've also got more of an urban influence through Steve, who's a fantastic drummer, and he does a lot of hip-hop beats and jungle beats."

They will be supporting The Moons, who include musicians from Paul Weller's band.

The band are really excited about playing this concert, saying they hope to "play to a few new faces".
