Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening head injury in Penzance crash

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with a life-threatening head injury after a collision with a car.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the rider of a Honda C90 was in collision with a Nissan Primastar van near Badgers Cross in Penzance at 07:45 BST.

The man was airlifted to Treliske Hospital before being transferred to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

The road has been closed at Badgers Cross.

Sergeant Chris Lovell, from the Devon and Cornwall Police serious collisions investigation unit, said: "We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the two vehicles shortly before the collision."
