A 63-year-old man may have been attacked over several months before he was found dead in his home, say police.

A murder inquiry was launched after the body of Terry Oldham was found at his home in Dolcoath Road, Camborne, Cornwall on 1 April.

Officers said they also believe he may have been robbed a number of times before his "disturbing death".

Three men and a woman from Camborne were arrested on suspicion of murder and have been bailed until 17 June.

Det Insp Costa Nassaris, from Devon and Cornwall Police's major crime team, said: "This was a disturbing death where Mr Oldham has sustained serious injuries.

"We believe that Mr Oldham was the victim of abuse in recent months and we are appealing to anyone who can provide information on events leading up to his death.

"In particular we would like to speak to anyone who had seen, or been in contact with Mr Oldham in the weeks before he died."
