'Burned body' found in lane in Liskeard

Lake Lane, Liskeard Police said the death was being treated as unexplained

A man's body which has been discovered in a lane in Cornwall had been burned, the BBC understands.

An area in Lake Lane, Liskeard, was cordoned off after the body was found at about 15:00 GMT on Friday.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the death was currently not being treated as suspicious but was unexplained.

Police said the man's next of kin had been informed and that officers were preparing reports for the coroner.
