A man's body has been found on a beach in Cornwall.

The emergency services were called to the beach at about 14:00 GMT after the body was discovered by members of the public.

It is believed the body had been in the sea before being washed up onto the beach, said a spokeswoman from Devon and Cornwall Police.

Officers are at the scene investigating. The man's identity and age are currently unknown.
