BBC radio presenter Freddy Zapp denies sex assault

Freddy Zapp Freddy Zapp is a well-known radio presenter, performer and DJ in Cornwall

Cornish entertainer Freddy Zapp has pleaded not guilty to charges of physical and sexual assault.

He is accused of one count of assaulting a female and one count of sexual assault against a female over the age of 16 in November, Truro Crown Court heard.

Mr Zapp, 62, a BBC Radio Cornwall presenter of Redruth, was released on bail.

He was told he will face trial in the spring or summer.
