Driver arrested after pedestrian dies in A30 crash

A 50-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail following a fatal crash on the A30

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a pedestrian was killed on the A30 in Cornwall.

The 38-year-old man died after he was hit by three vehicles near Launceston on Sunday morning.

A 50-year-old man has been released on bail until March.

In a separate incident just after midday on Sunday, a driver died in a three-vehicle crash on the A30 near Bolventor.

Two other people were taken by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

The collisions closed a 20-mile (32km) section of the A30.
