Four people arrested after Par man's death

Four people, including a 16-year-old boy, have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Cornwall.

The 57-year-old local man was found unconscious in the street in St Marys Road, Biscovey, Par in the early hours.

He was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, where he later died.

Devon and Cornwall Police said three men, aged 21, 19 and 18 and a 16-year-old boy had been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The man was injured just after 02:00 BST and police have appealed for witnesses.

The area around St Marys Road and Robins Close was cordoned off while scene of crime investigators carried out a forensic examination.

All four murder suspects live locally, police said.

Ch Insp Mike Ward told BBC News the victim's next of kin had been informed and a post-mortem examination would be carried out to establish how he died.
