A Cornwall foodbank is offering children who receive free school meals free lunch packs during the holidays.

Camborne, Pool and Redruth (CPR) Foodbank said it wanted to help parents whose earnings meant their children were entitled to free school meals.

Vouchers are being handed out by schools which can be redeemed at the foodbank.

The foodbank distributes donated food throughout the year to about 540 families.

Don Gardner of the CPR Foodbank said: "Children who are getting assisted school meals will lose those meals during the holidays.

"We know how difficult it is for families at the moment for that to happen.

"It is a deprived area and we want to help those families."
