Treluswell crash: Two killed as car and lorry collide

A man and woman have been killed in a road crash in Cornwall.

The collision, involving a car and a lorry, happened on the B3292 at Treluswell, near Penryn, at about 12:55 BST.

The pair, who were in the car, died at the scene, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Officers closed the road and put diversions in place at the Treluswell roundabout and the junction of Browns Hill with West Street.

An air ambulance and land ambulances were called to what police described as a "very serious" collision.

The lorry driver sustained minor injuries.

The road was closed for six hours.
