Hayle derelict building fire "suspicious"

A suspicious fire at a large derelict building in west Cornwall has been extinguished by fire crews.

The alarm was raised just before 04:00 BST at the site of an unused dive centre on Carnsew road in Hayle.

Devon and Cornwall Police is securing the site and a footpath beside the warehouse. No-one was injured.

Businesses in the area are open as normal. The fire service believes the fire was started "maliciously".
